God is Orderly

   I know we have a tendency to try to ‘prove’ God exists to the Atheist. It is interesting to note that God really has ‘proven’ Himself to people. We don’t have to try to prove that He exists because He already has done that! It is up to us whether we want to believe the evidence or deny the evidence. People who don’t want to submit to a higher authority will resist the ‘evidences’ of God because they know that if those evidences are real, then they are accountable to God. The Bible says that people ‘suppress’ the knowledge of God. See Romans 1 and 2 for a description of what people do, when they don’t like the evidences of God being evident!

  On the other hand, there are people who are just plain deceived. They go to school and learn that they came here by the process of evolution. They hear commercials on TV that indicate that people were once apes. It puts a structure in their minds that keeps them from understanding the truth. But God has worked in the hearts of many people, revealing Himself to them. This is where apologetics come in handy. We can help the people who would respond to God, if they really could understand that they have more dignity than a fruit fly. We can be ready and prepared to help these people. With that in mind, I am writing today on the subject of God being a God of order. There is order in so many things we see in creation. When people can have this spelled out for them, it gives them a clearer picture of who God is.

  I got an email this week, and it talked about the gestation period of different animals. Each one listed had a particular number of days for gestation (being pregnant) or incubation (being formed inside an egg). I did a search on some animals and got a vague answer for some of the gestational periods. Some of them listed the exact amount of days. Here is what is fascinating. I will copy and paste part of the email here:

Our God is an Awesome God in the things we take for granted…………….
Always the same timing in even the little things.
For example:
-the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
-those of the canary in 14 days;
-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
-The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the mallard in 35 days;
-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven,
The number of days in a week!)
I would like to add a couple of things here. When I was a kid, I raised hamsters. Their gestational period was 28 days. I researched the gestational period for a human being and it was 266 days. Dogs and cats come out to 63 days also. All of these beings have gestational periods that are divisible by 7 as well. Again, I did some other research and found gestational periods to be over an extended period of time ( ex. 60-65 days). I also understand that physical bodies don’t always respond to the design they were designed with (ex. a woman can give birth at 7 months, or 10 months. The gestational period is still at 38 weeks or 266 days). Generally speaking, there is an exact amount of days for each species to be in incubation or gestation. And that shows God’s handiwork as well!
